4. Eachanari Vinayagar Temple : 

The Eachanari Vinayagar Temple is one of the most revered temples in Coimbatore, dedicated to Lord Ganesha, also known as Vinayagar in Tamil.  The Eachanari Vinayagar Temple dates back to the 16th century. According to local legend, the temple's idol was originally intended to be installed at the Pateeswarar Temple in Perur, another famous temple in Coimbatore. However, during its transportation from Madurai, the cart carrying the idol broke down at Eachanari, a village near Coimbatore. The devotees interpreted this as a divine sign that Lord Ganesha wished to remain there, and so the idol was installed at that spot. This incident led to the establishment of the Eachanari Vinayagar Temple.The temple is renowned for its large and imposing idol of Lord Ganesha, which is about 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide. This makes it one of the largest Ganesha idols in South India. The idol is intricately carved and is a major attraction for devotees who come to seek the blessings of the Elephant God.The temple is known for its daily rituals and poojas, which are performed with great devotion.
